There are five geothermal power plants located in Iceland:  Svartsergi, Nesjavellir, Krafla, Hellisheioi, and Reykjanes.  These plants currently produce approximately 26.2% of the nation’s energy along with hydro power producing 75.4% of the nation’s electrical power and only 0.1% being produced from fossil fuels.  Iceland is well on its way to becoming a 100% fossil-fuel-free nation.
