Coleman Echelon Series Heat Pumps
Coleman Heating and Air manufactures heating, ventilation and air conditioner equipment primarily intended for the residential market. As part of this effort, the Echelon Series Heat Pumps form the vanguard of Coleman’s HVAC products. These heat pumps can provide heating in winter and cooling summer all the while being more energy efficient than many traditional air comfort models. The Echelon units range in energy efficiency from 13 to 18 SEER and some get up to 10.0 HSPF. 13 SEER is the minimum energy efficiency for new residential heat pumps, but 18 SEER is far above the mandate and a solid measure of real energy savings.
Any of those 18 SEER Echelon Series Heat Pumps are also very likely to qualify for Energy Star certification. As of 2009, new residential heat pump installs that conform to Energy Star guidelines may be eligible for a 30% Tax Rebate. This is part of the Federal government’s effort to promote energy conservation and a real way for you to get a new air-source heat pump like on of the Echelon Series with money you’d normally just pay on income tax. With Coleman’s ultra-reliable compressor design you can also be sure the heat pump you are buying is a solid purchase. As a standard feature on the Echelon Series, you also get the “warm to touch” feature to avoid cold start-up drafts and an innovative fan guard design that lowers the heat pump’s operating decibels. Select models even use R-410A refrigerant. R-410A is a hydrofluorocarbon gas that is chlorine free and non-ozone depleting.
